Coaches in Training

Olympium supports the development of leadership and coaching skills through our Coaches in Training program. This program is designed for swimmers 12 years and older to take certified training courses in coaching that they can use as volunteer coaches with Olympium Artistic Swimming Club or in employed coaching opportunities. This program develops leadership, planning and organizational skills that can be leveraged through their lives. They participate in a training course that prepares them to assist in developing young athletes. CIT’s are assigned to experienced coaches where they have the opportunity to work with them and receive feedback. CIT’s can work as volunteer coaches with Olympium and can develop into paid coaching opportunities. Leadership skills are reinforced through the Coaches in Training program, by which swimmers receive training to help coach either on a volunteer or paid basis depending on age.
