Who can register?
Our programs are best suited for swimmers in Senior Kindergarten to Grade 5. Younger swimmers may be considered if they are confident in the water with an assistant.
Swimmers will register in a program based on their age. Swimmers should feel comfortable jumping into the deep end of the pool and willing to put their head under water.
What you’ll need?
New for Season 2022-2023
All recreational athletes will need to also register with Ontario Artistic Swimming through a platform called Interpodia- this registration will cover all documents, waivers and an athlete fee and will get the athlete insured. For our Recreational program for the 2022-2023 season, the cost at checkout in TeamSnap has been reduced to make up for this additional step with Ontario Artistic Swimming. This cost only needs to be paid once for the season, so if you were registered already in the Fall you will not need to pay it again for the Winter/Spring program.

Spring Program Details
Our programs begin March 20th and run through to Monday May 29th with the final class being our club’s spring water show on Wednesday May 31st. Classes will not run during holiday weekends.
After you register, your child’s full schedule will be posted in the calendar on TeamSnap. TeamSnap is a web and mobile service that our club uses in order for each team to view their schedule, and also communicate with their coaches and other team parents.
FAQ
Q: What do I need to know about the registration process?
- Programs must meet minimum registration numbers in order to run. If a class is cancelled due to low registration then you will receive a full refund, or you will also be given the opportunity to join another class if there is availability.
- Registration is first come, first serve, so don’t wait if there is a time and location that works for you. Sign up as soon as possible, as some times and locations are more popular than others.
Q: Are there any extra costs that I should know about?
- Besides registration the only things you may have to pay additionally for are the list of required items you need for class, should you not already have any of them.
Q: What happens if my class gets cancelled?
- In the event of a cancelled class, we will do our best to provide a make-up class.
- If classes are cancelled due to a lockdown, or Public Health changes, the cancelled practices will transfer to a club credit that can be used towards any future programming.
- On occasion, we experience pool bumps due to facility events. We will relocate practices to another facility, and we will give as much notice as possible via TeamSnap. This may be at a different time or location.
Q: What if I want to withdraw my child from classes?
- If you wish to withdraw your child before programming starts, or after the first class you will receive a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee. Withdrawals after that time will not receive a refund.
Q: What if my child misses a class?
- Unfortunately, we are unable to provide makeup classes for any reason.
Q: How many children and coaches are in each recreational class?
- Aquaskirts! has a maximum of 6 children per class.
- Aquastars! and Aquasquads! have a maximum of 8 children per class.
- All classes have 1 certified coach plus a designated coach in training (CIT).
Q: How do I know which class I should register my child for?
- Typically we suggest that you register your child based on their age, but consideration can be made for swimmers based on a higher or lower skill level. Contact us for an evaluation or free trial class.
