Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for October is Sabine.

Sabine is a member of our Youth team. Sabine has really impressed Coaches Cherry and Kate since the the start of the season. As she is a second year Youth swimmer, she has taken to showing her fellow teammates the ropes, always jumping in to explain the new figures or demonstrate a skill.

Sabine is always up for a challenge, trying new moves on the difficulty chart and fixing corrections quickly. In her figures, her stability has improved so much since last year. Her coaches are very very proud of her cannot wait to see what she will do this year.

 

Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for May is Esther.

Esther is a member of our 12U Red team. Coaches Diana and Iryna have seen a lot of hard work from Esther to improve her routine and figure skills over the last month. Her hard work earned her a top 10 finish in 12U figures at Ontario Champs in a field of nearly 200 competitors! She has also improved her flyer skills significantly over the last month and looked awesome on her lifts at Ontario Champs!

Way to go, Esther!

Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for March is Rebecca.

Rebecca is a member of our Junior program and she is an asset to our Junior Team. Coming straight from our Youth program, Rebecca has shown her dedication through her consistent improvement and progression as a Junior athlete. Coach Cherry says Rebecca always comes to practice with a positive attitude, and is committed to helping her team. Coach Cherry is so proud of how far Rebecca has come in such a short time.

Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for January is Juliet.

Juliet is a member of our 10U Competitive team. Coaches Cara and Nicole say that Juliet brings such a positive and calming energy to practice. Juliet is a fantastic listener and they always see her focusing on improving her skills. She is a sweet and kind teammate.

Reese is a member of our Youth program. Reese consistently impresses the Youth coaches. During figure practice, she is always taking corrections and quickly applying them, clarifying to make sure she understands them. The coaches say she steps up regularly to help others with their figures, making sure none of her team mates are left behind.

Reese’s attitude at practice is amazing, and she is quick to make sure everyone feels welcomed, especially athletes that are new to our club and the sport.

The Youth coaching staff is very proud of Reese and can’t wait to see her compete this weekend at the Lisa Alexander figure meet.
