Our HP Athlete of the Month for April is Kaya.

Kaya is a member of our Youth HP team. Kaya has been showing improvement in her mental game and performance this month. Some notable improvements include body boost height, extension in figures, accuracy and height in positions and committing to the performance.

April Competitive Athlete of the Month is Flora!

Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for April is Flora.

Flora is a member of our 12U Black team. Flora has improved so much this year! Coach Lola says her consistent work on her splits and extension is paying off in the pool big time. Flora is a kind and inclusive teammate and she pushes herself to make small improvements each practice.

April Regional League Athlete of the Month is Iris!

Our Regional League Athlete of the Month for April is Iris.

Iris is a member of our 12U Green team. Coach Jody says that Iris’ consistent effort during practice is evident and is paying off in all areas of her training. Her vertical positions and support scull have improved as has her focus overall focus during practice.

March HP Athlete of the Month is Charlotte!

Our HP Athlete of the Month for March is Charlotte.

Charlotte is a member of our Youth HP team. Charlotte has been recognized by our HP coaches as being enthusiastic, coachable and open to trying new things. Charlotte has improved all of her skills in recent months due to mindful training.

Charlotte recently attended her first National level meet at the National Qualifier in Québec City. The HP coaches have also recognized her bravery for being one of the youngest athletes and her winning attitude.

March Competitive Athlete of the Month is Isabella!

 

Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for March is Isabella.

Isabella is a member of our Youth team. Coaches Kate and Cherry say that Isabella is very coachable, takes feedback well and implements it into her figures, team, and duet!

Isabella enjoys the challenge of trying new things – whether that be a harder move on the difficulty chart or becoming flyer in her duet. She always comes to practice and competitions with a positive attitude that overall has a great impact on her teammates and friends. As we go into the Jolyn Invitational next weekend, the coaches cannot wait to see Isabella shine in her events!

February HP Athlete of the Month is Audrey!

Our HP Athlete of the Month for February is Audrey!

Audrey is a member of our Youth HP team. Audrey has improved her mental game tremendously this year and her coaches are really noticing at both practice and competitions. The HP coaches most noticeably have seen Audrey be very brave at competitions and they are so proud. Audrey has also been working very hard to improve her figure skills and it is paying off.

Coaches Steph, Lola and Rachel love seeing Audrey’s positive energy at practice each day!

February Competitive Athlete of the Month is Chloe!

Our Competitive Athlete of the Month for February is Chloe.

Chloe is a member of our 10U team. Coaches Cara and Amelia say that Chloe is an incredibly talented athlete who puts effort into every skill and drill they work on. She is determined to make herself stronger each practice. Chloe is also such a kind and supportive teammate. We are so proud of her!

February Regional League Athlete of the Month is Maude!

Our Regional League Athlete of the Month for February is Maude.

Maude is a member of our 10U Yellow team. Maude is extremely dedicated and consistently gives her best effort at every practice and competition. Coaches Amelia and Rosie say that Maude pushes herself to always improve, stays focused, and shows a strong commitment to her goals.

Maude also brings such a fun and positive energy to the team, which makes a big difference in the team environment. Coaches Amelia and Rosie say that Maude is a kind and supportive friend who is always encouraging her teammates. Her hard work, attitude, and leadership truly set a great example for others.

Claire Scheffel

Claire brings elite international experience to the Olympium coaching staff, having represented Canada at the Olympic Games as well as four World Championships and several World Cup events during her four years on the national team. Her deep understanding of high-performance artistic swimming comes from competing at the highest levels of the sport.

Beyond her competitive career, Claire has contributed to the development of Ontario’s next generation of athletes by serving as a guest coach at provincial training camps. She currently serves on an athlete board with Canadian Artistic Swimming, where she represents and advocates for Ontario athletes.

Claire’s connection to Olympium runs deep—she was coached by HP Director Steph when she was 10 years old. Now back at Olympium, Claire is excited to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation of swimmers, bringing her passion for the sport full circle.

January HP Athlete of the Month is Amelia!

Our HP Athlete of the Month for January is Amelia.

Amelia is a member of our Youth HP team. The HP coaches have been very impressed with Amelia’s focus and willingness to push herself. She is always excited to try new things, and get out of comfort zone.

Amelia has a strong work ethic and her consistent effort has led to improved skills. The HP coaches are also very impressed with Amelia’s strong mental game.
